Looe is in fact two towns, East Looe and West Looe, connected by an arched stone bridge spanning the river Looe.
It is a popular family holiday resort, but also remains an active working fishing port all year round as and has its own working fishing fleet, which is well known for shark fishing.
East Looe has a very popular sandy child friendly beach just a short walk away from the narrow Cornish cobbled streets of the town. There are a good range of local facilities including banks, a Post Office, pubs and a wide variety of accommodation.
